Has anyone personally weighed the ,Gen 2 OEM Furakawa battery, FTX14? The Gen 1 was FTZ14. My shop says it's 11 lbs, but the Furakawa website says 8.3 lbs dry. The acid can't weigh that much. Anyone?

IDK. I use lithium. Being in florida, we don't have to worry about it getting too cold but maybe a couple of times a year during our "cold" season. I have a FPS (Fire PowerSports) Featherweight lithium battery in my 06 zx10r and an Auto parts store lithium battery in my zx7.

Thanks. That's what I've been estimating. That's a nice 7 lb weight saving to add to my weight loss project. With the battery, I'm right around 60 lbs lighter, and the bike feels it. Now I'm trying to find the weight difference between the OEM Bridgestone S20's and the Dunlop Q4's that I've ben using.

FYI, installed a Shorai battery, 3 lbs. OEM Furikawa, 10.8 lbs. Both weighed on a digital scale.
