bump

bump... what are all you 7r guys using? I was looking for something simple. I don't have many tools, but I don't want to pay the dealer an additional $100 just to drill a hole and tighten a bolt.

You don't need to pay a dealer sh*t!!!!!! Fairing cutting is not hard at all... it just takes some extra time and attention to detail. Check out this web-link and see what you think.

I installed some LSL sliders today on my '01 ZX6R and had to cut both sides... after reading the link below i didn't feel it would be that hard, and it wasn't. I used some sharpies insted of the dowel and it worked out perefct.

It would be best to get some type of sliders that actually mount to the engine mounts instead of the fairing mounts. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!

yes you DO need to cut your fairings for frame sliders on a zx-7r, ive never seen a set that doesnt. they replace the upper engine mount bolts and extend them outward, which are located under the fairings
