I think the matt is to hard to keep clean and it also shows every finger print and bit of road rash as it does not have the clear coat to protect the paint unless you can get a flat matt clear coat with a satin finish

definately shiny.. want flat... buy an old school chopper.. although those limited edition zx14 look pretty cool with the oldschool flat look on red rally stripes.

I'm going to have to agree with kennykiller, although either flat or shiny would hide stuff. maybe you should mix the two? ala 04' 05' ZX10R or the new agusta's such as the CC's. The new Agusta's are actually offered in a flat/shiny black scheme with some red accents...

look at the link...............that s the color i was thinking about.
maybe even a little darker, and add red race stripes. one rapping around the front turning signals going to the back of the fuel tank, and the other rapping under the bike where the oil bin is and running to the back of the tail.

i think it would look hott haha

there is a flat clear coat that you can put on over the black. when you paint the bike with the base color then the clear coat is wht gives it its shine. or if you use a flat clear coat it will give you the look of just a flat black.

I think the flat black would look sweet....you could also do a flat with a satin finish to give it a little more luster...that would llok really nice

so let me get this straight.........layering wise.
first is the primer
second the base color
and last the clear coat (flat or shiny)

that s it right?

Some colours do not require a base coat.

1. Primer
2. Base coat (if applicable)
3. Main colour
4. Clear coat
