Per the 2008 C-14 Service Manual, torque value for the final drive filler plug is 18 in-lb and the gear case oil drain bolt is 78 in-lb. It should also be noted that the Service Manual calls for the gasket on the drain bolt to be replaced and the o-ring on the filler plug to be "in place".

I asked this question about two weeks ago and got no response. :evil :headscratch :banghead

So I went ahead and tightened it until the wrist said stop. :eek:hno

Wrist tight was probably okay and I'm sure it hasn't leaked or vibrated loose,,,, yet. :scared I'd go back and check it with a torque wrench if it were my bike. :smile

I saw a guy lose one of his front brake caliper bolts on track day a couple weeks back. Not a pretty sight.
