hey guys, so i bought this bike with some kind of unknown muffler on it, its polished aluminum, and its a 4into1 header...the endcap on the muffler is held in with rivets. am i supposed to drill these out if i want to repack the muffler and re-rivet them??

You should replace them with aluminum rivets. Any other metal will cause a galvanic reaction and the aluminum can will deteriorate at the rivet holes. I just performed a similar operation on one of my Scorpion titanium slip-ons. Ti is sensitive to other metals and I had to use high-grade stainless steel rivets to put it back together.
