I have a 00 zx7 and wanted to know if zx9 mid-pipe would fit my bike.
Tire Wheel Vehicle Fuel tank Automotive tire

This was the way I purchased it the first of the month. I realize that I am older than methuselas nuts. But for some strange reason, I like to be able to hear myself think. I really feel like I need a can on here to accomplish this. However (as the pic shows) Im also needing a mid pipe. I found a cheap can but no mid pipe on Amazon. There is one on there for the 9. Will that work in place of the stock one.
Cheers.
Hans
P.S. try not to laugh at the bike too much, cuz I am still crying.

This is the one that I was looking at:

It looks like it might work. Just hoping someone might know for sure.

I really should have passed on this bike. Its been one issue after another. this is another month of not getting to ride it but I am starting to get her worried.
latest issues The repalcement res for the front brakes is leaking. bent clip ons. throttle cable I was sent is too short and revs the bike when the bar is turned to the right. Mis-matched rearsets and the front rotors are toast.
latest victories I now have new (MIC) bar controls. Stock mirrors which I cant see shit out of. an (MIC) plate hanger. I did an oil change with Motul 300v Flushed the rad. drained and blew out the brake lines and clutch and replaced all three resevoirs with chia's best. (which are of course leaking) added a direct relay to the head lights. I also now have a *ahem horn. Since I believe in being heard rather than being flattened. The stock horn wont even make the next yard sale. Maybe one of those jackass train horns that some a$$ hats put in thier trucks to scare the F&%^ out of people. (It would more than likely cause a wreck rather than avoid one.)
Curently in the market for the following:
Left side stock rearset
Front rotors
Clip-ons just the bars
Stock kickstand (bike is going back to stock ride height)
Stock rear turn signals

Here is a progress pic or two. Still ugly but it at least looks legal now.

Welcome to se7en ownership. At least you know it'll be right once you get done with it.
Exactly! its going to take time and money I dont yet have. But I will sort it out. I really like the bike, and the engine runs like a swiss.... Car. J/K

No the engine is the one saving grace about the whole bike. Its at 30k and the valves and cam chain sound like a sewing machine. Someone did the top end at some point in its life. The frame and sub are straight. the forks dont leak. Im pretty sure the rear shock is shot, but I wont know until after I try setting the rear to my weight. If anyone knows good settings for front and back to start from for 225lbs I would apreciate it.
I know that it will take fine tuning, but a starting point would be great.

Cheers,
Hans
