Hi, I just picked up my new 2014 zx10 which has an aftermarket quick shifter. Took it for a spin this morning and tried out the qs. All seemed good but the yellow warning light came on with esd notification on the dash. When I got home I turned off and back on again and the light went out. Just looking to see what people’s thoughts are on whether it is to do with the quick shifter or the steering damper? I also read somewhere it could be to do with battery not connected properly?

ESD's seem very temperamental with Battery Voltage.
Not come across one that has had an argument with a QS thou

They do however suffer issues with:-
Low Voltage Ref Battery condition.
Faulty Reg/Rect (Again effecting Battery Voltage)
PCV Firmware's can also upset them for some strange reason.

Last one I had playing up ended up being the connection at the Multi Plug back of the Air Box.

Nailed it. This is the culprit 99% of the time. Also, loose battery terminals.

Thanks for those comments. I bought from a dealer so I’ll give them a call and see if I can get them to check it out
