I am in need of replacing my drive chain guide on my '93 ZX7R and was wondering if I have to pull the swingarm off to replace it. Anyone know or have any helpful input?

To replace the chain guide you'll need to remove the swingarm since it wraps around the front.

Not too mention the pivot bolt goes thru it as well...

One man job. Just need to figure out how you want to lift the rear of the bike. Either by the subrame from garage rafters or a jack and jackstands under the frame and exhaust.

The rest is just unbolting stuff and then reinstalling.

Thanks guys. Is this a one man job or should I enlist help?
You can pull your footpegs off of the brackets, flip them over and install on opposite sides. This gives you a perfect spot to put jackstands and this way they can't fold up on you. Just put them back where they belong when you're done.
