Ya goggles huge disappointment.
I told my nephew i'm keeping my avegant glyphs and he's ok with that
I have a new thing to try since the mavic doesn't come with a mini hdmi connection for goggles
That's another thing I'm frustrated with the mavic
Why couldn't they just put in a mini hdmi port?

I bought a hdmi dongle miracast. Similar to a chromecast or roku dongle that you would use to mirror the image in the goggles
Add a battery pack and the dongle and no needfor a $200 tablet
sounds promising
I hope it works and need a positive boost for the mavic
The low battery life for the drone and the controller is a negative
As well as the video quality and all the silly restrictions and added NFZ's

hey believe it or not, bought a minty Mavic Air ! :laugh2: what the hell.. Haven't flown it yet but will this weekend. Seller never really flew it...batteries never been charged. Like the technology and the fact that it has 3 axis gimbal too.

nope
just got back today and did some flying up north
trying to get used to it
I was playing around with active tracking and the other wizbang features
I couldn't find the so called "R" in the serial number or anywhere that would suggest it was refurb
Looked brand spankin new when i got it

I know, read the manual
I thought active tracking would have moved with the object
it follows but only for pics and vids
why doesn't the drone move towards the object?
I found the MP active tracking was spot on and with the P2P as well. On the MA well not so good. Kept somehow became inactive when tracking my bike.

Hey EZ, I took the plunge.............Bought the Mavic Pro deuce ! Yeah got I think a good deal plus a eBay coupon to purchase another battery but need to wait until Jan 2019 for the coupon to kick in - I think you know how that works.

Check it out.

This was a few months ago when I pushed/tested the MP to it's limit on speed mode (above water). It went over 33,000 feet (round trip) which equates to 6.3 miles on a single fully charged battery. It came back practically on one leg; I think it had 8% battery left and I had to land it safely at another nearby location which I then was able to retrieve it.
Not going denied, I almost crapped in my pants. I've never, ever done it again.
