Can't answer specifically for your bike but over in the UK front ends from 90's bikes are quite commonly grafted onto 80's bikes. Advantages are better forks & brakes. In most case they also graft on the rear suspension as well.

The '91 to '96 was a significant difference between the bikes so it would be worth checking clearances before you get the forks. The main thing to watch is the steering head bearings but these can be got to suit just about any application from a bearing specialist. Also check position of steering stops, if different you will need to adapt or weld. The rest is using your ingenuity to adapt everything.

I asked the same question on redmonkey last week (using newer front fairing on a 91-92). From what I gathered, you can fit 96-03 upper and lower fairings as long as you use the same year brackets (upper fairing stay, radiator mount, side and lower fairing brackets). There's even a picture posted on there. I'm going to make that a winter project for my 91.

Well, he is talking about putting on the plastics specifically, not the front end as what we would consider to be the front end.

I don't think he gives a damn about the forks.

Rocket. I think I asked you once already. SHARE THE DETAILS. You gotta be getting info from somewhere on it. I am not gonna start this project until I know I can get the spacers made, and for that I need drawings. I fully intend to put a vfr swinger on mine as well, I just cannot for the life of me find the details on it.

It isn't a matter of the spacer being "easy". I can put the shit on just fine. It's getting the correct spacer made.
