Long ago, I read that Corbin seats are prone to absorb water and get the foam soaked and that they need months to get back dry... Since then, I always have been covering my seat (Corbin) with a green garbage plastic bag when I expect some rain while I need to ride. However, this looks awful...

For those who already have a Corbin seat, can you please confirm this or is it a myth? Thanks!

I have never had a problem with my seat. I think it would depend on what type of material you have on your seat. Exotics or perforated leather would be more apt to soaking if any would. If you really feel this is a problem, contact Corbin, tell them your concerns and ask what they suggest. Maybe some sort of leather conditioner can be used to waterproof the seat. I have had Corbin seats on numerous bikes and have never had a problem.
