My wife has a 2004 ZX-6RR. I am going to change and flush the coolant system soon. (Engine Ice) First, I can see what looks like a sand colored coating in the bottom of the coolant resevoir. It is only about a 16th of an inch thick if that. Has anyone else experienced this in the reservoir? What do you guys use to flush the coolant system with?

Glad to hear that someone else has this settlement too. I will check with the bike shop. I know the manual said that if you have "whitish cotton-like wafts" your coolant system is corroding. This just looks like a thin layer of sand.

Coolant

I am going to check with the bike shop on flushing. The service manual says that if you have "whitish cotton-like wafts the cooling system is corroded. This just looks like a thin layer of sand.
