My 2008 with 27000 miles is having some sort of clutch issue, but I am not sure where to start with diagnosing it. I have stock clutch plates and stock levers. When I grab the clutch lever I only have to squeeze about 1/8 maybe 1/4 inch for clutch to disengage. I haven't measured to be exact. This seems to be way to soon to be releasing. It also feels like the clutch is slipping under heavy loads, like rolling at 60mph in 6th and then hard acceleration. The bike still lifts the front wheel real easy in lower gears. I am running amsoil. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Start by bleeding the clutch. If that doesn't work your clutch is going out .

Your master cylinder may not be releasing pressure when you let off, so it's like the lever is pulled a little even when when it's not. If you open the m/c bleeder and fluid gushes out, you may need to rebuild the m/c. You might also check by pumping some fluid up from the slave cylinder to see if the reservoir fills freely.
