Just got one in the mail yesterday. It uses the same brackets that the rear seat uses.

Lol don't make it more complex than it is. Just take ur time and look at what needs to happen. I bet ur so excited to see how it looks thou. Most of them do use the same bracket at te seat. Some don't. And have cheap ones to use.

my seat has nice hooks, this cowl has some shitty peice of metal and the middle is cut out so it is split. doesn't clip in the same way at all..... ill upload a pic

I agree, looks like two different hooks, clips or what ever.
Before you totally dismiss it though, would padding it out help?
I got one from Craig's list and it wouldn't clip in. I unbolted what was there, and put a small peace of metal under it. Made it just long enough to clip.

its the right cowl... i had to grind out a millimeter off each hook because it was way too tight.... still tight so i will have to take a little more off..... fitment is alright just a tiny bit off but not too noticeable
