I'm trying to kleen air mod a 99 zx600e. It's a Cali model with EVAP system. I just don't know what you would do with the evap hose. Can you delete it? I've searched but no couldn't find anyone saying they did it with success
You can. Block off the reed valves on the valve cover. Route the carb vacuum line to the air box. Route crankcase vent to atmosphere iirc.I'm trying to kleen air mod a 99 zx600e. This is an excellent question. One I don't have the answer to. Maybe someone more knowledgeable can chime in?Whats going to happen to the oil vapor and pressure that collects under
the vavle cover?
Why do you want to do this? I think your going to have all kinds of oil pulsing out of the breather.Any excess pressure will fond its way out the crankcase breather. If it did any harm there would be loads of posts about saying kleen air mod blew up my engine
On the J model engine the rocker cover doesnt have the holes in it for the clean air stuff. So i would assume that kawasaki dont think its an issue not having a vent there.
On the ram air bikes its done to balance pressure on the fuel system with the pressure in the air box
Right, I know if you start messing with the intake on those ram air bikes they wont run right. Thats another reason I was thinking why do you want to remove all that stuff.
So, why do you want to remove it?
Its not venting the valve cover ,its supplying air to the exhaust ports.Whats going to happen to the oil vapor and pressure that collects under

Are the hoses the OP is pointing out not connected to the valve cover? Am I missing something? Why do people do this mod, HP gains?
