Not measured it out yet, but if the measurements allow was considering making a replacement box to fit in place of the glove box to take a marine grade radio/cd player. Would basically create a design to allow a standard din size car audio system to be fitted.

Will probably create a chassis out of mild steel then build up with fibreglass and finally smooth and paint.

Out to you guys and gall's, any other idea's on materials or construction tips for such a project, have access to a fair range of tools including a thin plastic (vacuum) forming machine if needed (note that this would not be suitable for the build as it is only capable of very thin plastic but could be used for making a mould of some description).

Have already found a source for speakers, I would need to fabricate brackets to allow them to be fitted to the yokes but that should pose no major problem.

I installed a J&M system in mine. I put the intercom/walkman box(integrator), as well as the radar/cell phone overide , and the V1 external audio box in there. It all fit neatly and is out of the weather.

Put a Zumo and the Starcom1 audio integrator on my bike. Have the cell paired with the Zumo for complete phone operation. Garmin has this set up nice. I cancelled the Onstar service for my '07 Tahoe and now use my regular cell with the Zumo in the car just as efficiently as the Onstar was. 1000 MP3 files on the Zumo for tunes and an Escort connected to the Starcom1 for radar detection. The Zumo has an option for XM if you want that too. I'm thrilled with how this has all worked. Better than the audio was on my '05 Ultra Classic and now I can go around turns and actually pass people on the road.
