is there any relation to in having moisture in brake/clutch fluid to air being into they system? just curious because i replaced the fluid, but don't know how old it was. now i have to bleed aproximately every 100 miles and i get just a tad of air air out. using dot 3 rather than 4 also. could boiling the fluid cause this?

yes... the brake fluid is hydroscopic, meaning that it likes to attract moisture. When the brakes are applied the friction heats up the fluid, which in turn, boils off the water in the fluid. Turning it into a vapor (air).

Do a full flush of the system, and it should fix your problem.
