I have a 2008 Zx14 and it always seems to run hot in the summer. Today was 86 degrees and because it was city driving it ran right up to the top temp bar. Anyone else get this? Did you do anything about it. Ideas for a correction

It's normal. 14 doesn't like to sit still
Some have added a Muzzy fan to increase air flow and some have added a 2nd fan like in the 14R
As long as you're not flashing the high temp indicator you're good to go
These are the approximate temps for the bars
1st Bar = 100-140 degrees
2nd Bar = 140-160 degrees
3rd Bar = 160-180 degrees
4th Bar = 180-210 degrees
5th Bar = 210-230 degrees

I use Prestone Radiator flush. Some people say water wetter or engine ice works.
Also It may be time to check your thermostat to see if it is malfuctioning. Some people remove entirely although that is not recommened.
Start by flushing the system, make sure the fan is spinning freely etc.
good luck!
EDIT; EZ knows best on this model and beat me to the punch

Maybe time to change the thermostat and add a fan. It's only going to get hotter in VA.

Adding an additional fan may cause more amperage draw than your stock stator can output. I would advise against this. However, changing to the Muzzy fan like Ez stated may be a safer option.

If you're interested in adding another stock fan. let me know. I have a spare that was given to me with a repaired leaky rad.
