Hey all im new to the forum as well to biking. Have just got myself a 2009 zx6r and when i put it in first gear it seems to make a loud jump and click. It only happens sometimes and was wondering if this is normal. Sorry to all if this is a silly question.

I would check your chain tightness. Too loose and it will jump into gear and also check your idle to make sure it is not to high. My idle is turned up because of the map i am running and if my chain is even a tiny bit loose it will

Yeah check the chain and idle, but hey, at least it's not a serious problem!

If none of that does it, adjust your clutch.
