Just looking for numbers put out by the Graves and Akrapovic full system models for a 2011-2012 zx10-r. both look different and are of my liking, i like the sound of the akrapovic better but if the graves really puts out 16 hp like they claim its 7 more than akrapovic at a cheaper price. Any experiences?

It's all shenanigans and you won't notice much of a difference considering your bike is already a land rocket to begin with. If those things were at all accurate, some company's exhausts would make the 500R run a solid 20% more power. Obviously not possible lol

Buy the one that looks and sounds the best to you, and then get a power commander (or similar) and have it tuned. That should give you the best results.

If power is that much of a concern for you that you really need a couple % more HP, then you will have to find people with bone stock bikes who have both systems and dyno them, or buy them both.

It doesnt "put out power".

If you honestly think it is going to somehow actually give you 16 additional HP, then buy it. You obviously aren't listening to me anyways.

What do you need every possible HP for? So you can 12 o'clock faster on the street? If you were racing the bike, I could see needing it. If this is just a street bike, you probably won't notice a difference between the two - if there even is one.

In reality, chances are that both of them flow fairly similar and both companies used different bikes and testing methods. As I said, you will notice more of an increase from a good tune.

That 2011 10R should be batshit crazy to begin with.

Buy whichever one you think is best. If that involves believing what the manufacturer claims, then thats on you.

im posting this because i want to know what the true numbers for the exhaust are. And yes as a matter of fact this is regarding racing. i do need to squeeze as much power as i can out of it.
Squidge is correct with his analysis.
buy the full Ti Evolution Akra over the Graves. Get your ECU reflashed. This is a much better solution than a PC and other add-ons. seems like most Kawi road racers use Akrapovic or Leo Vince. Nassert Beet is popular in Japan. Beet is a very high dollar piece.

Look at austinracing. They make a large bore titanium or iconnel stainless slip-on for racing. (Makes a lot of power). The new 10rs have a titanium header already that is quite good. I think I will go with go with austinracing next time. I've owned a full Akra. The sound is perfect and the quality is the best. The Graves just looks a little cheap to me. It looks fragile. It is probably lighter by a pound. You will never regret buying Akrapovic.

There is never any true number for an exhaust system. It is far too dependent on variables. Two identical bikes side by side can show different gains from the same exhaust system.

I am curious to know what/where you are racing. I have heard of a lot of guys that claim they do things for racing, but have never set foot on a track.

But my last name is Rossi. My brother said i need every possible hp I can get. My brother said he's having trouble with this guy on a Honda that has been beating him lately. He said the guy goes by "Stoner".
