Torque was more than promised about 3,5 ft.lbs
while bhp (not PS) was 3 less than promised
I like it better this way
Euro-PS is still 200!!
154 Nm torque is marvellous!

If you want more hp, get a turbo!
Turbo does not add low-end grunt
so the basic bike is a-0K!

The numbers are near enough to what the rumour mill was predicting that most people won't notice the difference. Kawasaki say they are comitted to producing the most extreme bikes, once the bike press get out there & start testing & comparing, it will confirm if they have delivered.

So far the ZX-10R has proven to be the ultimate track tool - which is what Kawasaki set out to do.

The new 650 twin does not seem that impressive on paper but I have yet to see a bad magazine review. I think Kawasaki are trying far harder to get things right first time than they ever did before.

The time they have taken to release the figures for the 14 will hopefully have been spent preparing the bike to live up to everyone's expectations.

Then again it's easy for me to sound patient coz I know I won't be in the market for a new bike for a couple of years. I'll just carry on dreaming for now :)
