Well... I'm going to do it... I'm going to buy the Airtech AMA 3 snorkel airbox and intakes to accompany my FCR41's and my Geared Kent Cams....

Does anyone have any experience with these?

Any comments or concerns with install??

Upon final installation, duct tape all connections to help seal it up.

I plan on using a really good gasket... worse case I will use aluminum air duct tape (I assume thats what you were speaking of...

Ive decided to use the AMA airbox because the bike always feels out of breath when I roll on at high RPM... always like it wants more!! (I know its a tuning thing but lets hope for a few more ponnies)

It's never fast enough. lol.

I can't wait to see your post when you finally go for your first track day and see how fast those corners come up on you. :crackup

You're gonna be like: "I need an SV650". hahahahahahahaha

Dude, these bikes are plenty fast. I'm nowhere near full throttle coming out of most turns on the track. These bikes got power man!

...airbox rocks though! :crazyloco

This Replica bike im building wont be my track bike... too much money into it I will be afraid to push it and lowside... even worse catch and highside.

I have a 2002 7R with 16,000km that will be my track whore... she is stock except a Muzzy exhaust and jet kit. thats my everyday whore and track

My biggest problem is I will have to have leathers custom made... Im 6'5" with a 44" chest, 38" waist, 36" inseam.... Im 255lbs... so errrr

I see. If it's for "bling" then, it still seems to be extra money and time for a mod that you can hardly see. I'm not sure what the benefit would be if the bike is not being thrashed.

Don't get me wrong though, it's a fantastic mod and kudos for going ahead with it. :crazyloco

It's always going to be a problem if you own more than 1 bike.

My buddy has a show room condition red and white 98 R1 and a 2000 R1 which he uses as a beater and will track one day. Lets say he gets a set of shiney new discs which does he put it on? It'd be a waste on the garage queen but a risk to on the track bike.

Dont get me wrong about how I ride some times... this rep will see top end and will be push through the twisties...

but on the road I have insurance... there is no insurance company that will cover me on the track....

so push the rough bike on the track and do bike nights and cruises on the rep...

You spoke to Dutch?

Yeah, emailed Dutch... he said they are really busy...

And I looked at my paint scheme more and the bike I am replicating doesnt have CF intakes, they are black... so that is a bonus that it will be even closer to looking like the real thing

I know they get really busy. Send me a PM when you put the order through. I'll try calling him up to see if they can expedite you.
