hi all.98 zx6r g1 model,engine is in bike but wont turn over on button,but will if solenoid shorted across.the oil light stays on when turning over and there is no spark.is this all related? if oil light stays on will the ecu stop it from running?the bike was bought minus the engine.i have a 98 g1 engine fittted which was running fine.it appears to be wired up properly.the fuel pump works when the starter is pressed but not turning over.

i dont have the chain on yet,if it was in a false neutral would that stop it running?because of the side stand switch possibly.

sorted,i didnt have the neutral wire plugged on,as still got to fit the front sprocket.runs a treat.

glad to here it! and yeah dont worry about that oil light, it wont go off till after the engine is running.
