New to the forum, hi all. i have a 98 9r. I have read that the rear ride hieght can be raised via shims. How and where is this done? In the shock? It looks like the upper and lower mounting is done with a straight through bolt so I dont understand how the "shimming" is done. I want to raise ride height slightly. Where do you get these shims? thanks all. looking forward to posting and reading alot. cheers -Bill

Hi there friend,

Your 98 model cannot use shims in order to raise/lower the rear height. The top mounting isn't like the 2000 model that have threaded upper shock mounting. Only threaded mounting can you use shims...

The only way for you to do this is to change your linkage. Just go to your local fabricator shop and ask them to fabricate a new linkage with multiple holes in it. That way, you are able to play with different height with different holes.
