A ‘88-90 Zx10 may or any Zx11 through ‘01. Plus a Zzr1200 (not Zx12). Any other engine will require frame mods I imagine.

zrx1100/zrx1200 might fit. I know some zx11 owners have swapped a zrx motor in. I don't know if it's plug and play

Zrx motors have side-draft heads not downdraft so the heads would need swapped for a Zx11 item. 95-98 Gpz1100 could fit with a head swap as well.

I know this feeling. You have to go slow, to go fast. If you're wanting to just throw another motor in there, you'll need to look for another C motor or another motor that is the most "Plug and Play."

E.g.:
I bought a salvage zx7 J motor(91/92 model year) to throw into my 93 zx7 (L model). After adjusting valves and installing it; it runs. It actually ran really good.

So, it's going to take some time to find a replacement motor. You'll need to determine how much, in terms of time and money, you're willing to spend to get your bike back on the road again.

I gave you the answer is Post #2 of this thread. C- and D- model Zx11 will definitely fit along with a Zzr1200. Not sure why you are making this difficult.

Doug wrote it all.
Donor motors are from ZX11C, ZX11D and ZZR-1200 (again, not ZX-12R).
I believe ZRX engine also fits but you need to swap the head. Use a ZX11 head on ZRX1100's and ZZR-12000 head on ZRX1200's.
Also, I believe ZRX1100 have a 5 speed gearbox and possibly 6 on ZRX1200.

Hello there. Have you explored getting the current motor repaired? When you say it blew up, then if you threw a rod and damaged the side of the engine block badly, maybe you have to find a replacement engine but there are a lot of situations where the right shop can repair damage and you can use the motor. Or save a search on eBay for your bike's engine. I bought a motor on eBay for one of my bikes after looking for over a year for one I felt was trustworthy and had the right shipping arrangements (I am in Seattle area and the motor I bought came from down in FL). It is worth trying so it is a direct bolt up.
