I'm about to pull the motor from my 95 ZX 7 to fix the transmission. I've heard that the forks can be replaced without splitting the case. Is this true? If so that shortens the length if time for sure.

i wish i knew. i hear some of these motors at least can. just a reaaalll snug work area. not sure which motors for sure though.

No, you cannot swap without splitting case. Its a very easy job though. I just did it to mine over winter. Make sure you have a repair manual so you know all torque specs.

Thanks guys, I thought that much. It's not as simple as my old 78 KZ 1000, but seems very easy from the info in my Haynes manual.

If you've done your KZ then this will be VERY similar.
