2016 ZX14R SE = Two brothers slip ons

Hi everyone

I own a 2016 ZX14R SE in Oman. I was looking to get a pair of slip-on exhausts to repalce the stock cans. My first priority is the sound. Second is looks and weight reduction. Based on these 2 factors I have narrowed down my choices to the Yoshimura or the 2Brothers. I prefer the 2 bros as from my research they sound better and a bit more louder, whereas the Yoshis don't sound a lot louder than the stock. Lookwise both look great.

Either of these, I will have to ship it in from the US and shipping alone is going to cost me a bomb, but I don't have many other options here. So before I purchase I just wanted to know will it be OK to bolt on the 2bros and ride without a fuel remap? Will it mess up the bike? I did call 2bros and have a word with them but the lady on the line didn't sound too sure. She siad it would be better to have a remap but its also OK not to. That couldn't convince me. I would really appreciate some guidance from long term owners or users of either of these 2 slipons. Thanks!

Either way you should do an ecu flash but it shouldn't be necessary just for slip ons
I've had good luck with Delkevic and it might be a better option for you for shipping since it's closer

My nephew's Triumph Sprint 955 ST has a 2Bros slip-on and it sounds great. Most modern Yosh pipes are pretty quiet, if that's your preference.

Two Bro's are Packed with baffle material that will burn out after a bit (from two bro's themselves) so look for a pipe with a mechanical packing. My Akrapovic Come with Mech baffling and won't burn out. Put one on my 05 ZX10R and have never had to do anything to it. Sounds as good as the day I bolted it on.

Do you know how loud these are when compared to the 2Bros? I need something significantly louder than stock for the purpose of safety and road presence here in the GCC

Thanks. Yeah, based on whatever I have seen so far the Yoshis are just a tad bit louder than stock. But I am just worried installing the 2bros without a fuel-map will mess up my bike!

Oh that's new info to me. Thanks! But I really cant justify spending so much for a pair of Akras. Any other brand that you can recommend? Also do you have any advice for me regarding my initial question on running the bike with slip-ons without a fuel remap? Thanks again!
Most slip-ons are nor much dicfefent than the stock mufflers except for size. The catalytic converter actually does more to attenuate the engine sound than the mufflers and is much more of a restriction. Subsitituing slip-ons will not hurt your engine.

Aftermarket exhausts hav e very little effect other than changing the tone of the exhaust note and being lighter. Modern stock exhausts are nearly as unrestricted, flow-wise. One of the (now defunct) motorcycle mags did a test comparing the stock exhaust of a 600-4cylinder to a $5000 Titanium full exhaust and found zero difference other than the previously stated sound alteration and lighter weight.

Can't answer on the comparison.
Delkevic has different length cans and removeable baffles

Thanks for the reply! This gives me more confidence to go ahead with it. I just got a mail from their CS stating that I could do without a remap :) Will update once its all set. Thanks again!
I would recommend looking at Leo Vince slipons. Ive got them on my 2012 zx14r w an Akra header and a flash. But they r low key at idle and going down the road they r far enough behind that theyre not super loud to me. Everybody behind says theyre quite loud tho. However they have a low pitch to the exhaust, basically u can hear the displacement, whereas the Brocks Titanium is higher and makes it sound like a zx10. Whatever u choose dont second guess urself and itll b worth the price of admission

Well of course I would go with the Yosh pipes. The ones on my ZX14 are fantastic. Of course if you are wanting really loud. Takes these pipes, remove your cats. The deep sound you get just throbs in your chest. It was to much for me when I first got my ZX14. So I had to put the sound reducing insert for the pipes as well as put a decibel killer into the pipes before the Yoshes. Now it has a beautiful smooth deep pure. But when you open it up ... well godzilla shows up!

Thanks! Sure will check them out. So many options that it gets overwhelming! :)
