SO .... now that you have jumped off and are on the old slippery slope, which exhaust system are you going to add to take advantage of the head work? and PC V and Flash ECU and custom dyno tune and and and.

The fun has begun!
Idk which exhaust I'll do just yet. I'm trying to hide the bills I'm racking up as it is. Lol. I think the guy said he will use something different from PC V. I think he said it's called Pazzaz or something weird like that. He has his own dyno so that makes things easier too. He said actually making the changes on the ECU takes FOREVER (relatively speaking) where PC V and programs like that are more or less point and click and it's there. I'm still not sure what cam I'm getting. I'm not good with remembering all the specific numbers on the cams, but looking to see if well have to replace both cams or just the intake side. It all depends on what the flow numbers will look like when we decide on an intake cam.

Any suggestions will be helpful on the headers, cams, and whatever else. I'm not looking for a bike to take to the track, road course or drag strip, but I'm looking to have a fun street bike that will be a monster when rolled into.

The price of education is expensive but at least I know WHERE I am on my bike. It was excessive carbon build up on the valves and valve seats.

I run the occasional dose of techroline in a tank and my intake valves are clean as a whistle when I pull the throttle bodies. Heat takes care of the exhausts. Never looked with a bore scope, but I imagine the piston crowns are not too gunked-up.

Lucky you! So are you still going for the big $$ build now that a few bottles of Techron will sort it out?
Not thinking that I am right now mainly, because the cams are way too high. Plus I don't have anything wrong with it. I could see doing something if I had something majorly wrong with it, but for the hp gains I'm not sure it'll be worth the money I'll have to put out. I was looking at another 2k for the upgrade, and then I'd have to look into the exhaust manifolds, and whatever else. Idk if it'd be worth it, but iI still have some time to make a decision. As I'm typing this out I'm still second guessing myself. Lol. I wish I could figure out how to upload pictures to this site.

I used to on my other bike, but I wouldn't think I'd have the issue on this bike already. I only run either Shell or Sunoco when filling up. Unless it's an emergency and I'm about to have to start pushing. My dad taught me that years ago as far as the consistency of quality at certain gas stations when filling up his bike. Maybe it's changed but it's just one of those things that sticks with you.

Well I have an update......NOT ONLY am I going to completely redo the top end but I AM ALSO going to redo the bottom end as well to include 2mm bore and domed pistons to make compression be like 13:1 or 14:1. The estimated hp is about 230 to 240. Lol

I was wanting to show my bike plus the insane carbon build up on a motor with only 5,250 miles on it. Now I have to wait 4 to 6 wks while all the parts come in on my build. I'm just glad my mechanic is smarter than I am when it comes to building motors. Maybe I'll get some painting done since everything is stripped down. Lol.
