It boggs down whenever I shift it I to 3rd gear a d the temperature also drops down

How is your bike setup? Any mods?
I don't know about the temp issue but my 08 was bogging at around 8k RPM. Turned out to be a fuel pump/filter issue. Pulled out the assembly and the filter was trashed. I went ahead and rebuilt the entire assembly (pump, filter and pressure regulator) which solved the problem.
