Hello,
so i have a stock size Pirelli Angel GT tire on the rear. Ive seen the debates on moving from a 120/65 to 120/70 tire in the front. When i looked at the date of my front used tire (Michelin Pilot Power 2CT) (120/65) it said it was from 2006. So i defiantly need a new tire right???

I leaning towards just sticking with 120/65 size in the front because i dont wanna deal with messing with the hight of the bike and all that. But im still not 100% sure if i want to stick with that size yet bc i would like to have matching tires.

I was wondering if having the pirelli angle gt tires in the rear and a new michelin pilot power 2ct tire in the front would be a big deal. Because of mixing tires.

It's best to have the same tread pattern on both tires. Also, that front tire definitely needs to be replaced due to its age. It's a ticking time bomb waiting to explode or for the tread to separate from the belts. I wouldn't trust that front tire above 50mph.

so would you recommend moving to 120/70 in the front ?

I recommend staying with stock tire sizes unless it's a track bike.
Unless you're smarter than the engineers who designed the bike. They utilize tires and wheels of a certain size for specific reasons and slapping something else on for looks or a falsely-perceived performance gains is just stupid.

Unless ur a racer or u have handling problems already, u wont notice much (if any) change w the front tire size. I dont think ive ever seen a 120/65 and im a kaw dealer tech. Id say if ur gonna ride a lot, get Power 5s, if u only ride maybe a few thousand a year then pick whatever tire floats ur boat for the riding u think ur gonna do
