I have a 07 ZZR600 and am looking into changing out my sprockets for more torque. I was considering the 520 conversion (-1 front, +2 rear) but Im not sure if that will reduce my top speed by a considerable amount. I was reading about people just doing a -1 front sprocket, and many seemed pleased with the improvment in torque, but these were all riders with liter bikes. So I'm looking for opinions from the 600 class. So it comes down to the 520 conversion vs. -1 front sprocket. Thanks for the help!

i have a zx6r with a -1 front sprocket,it pulls very well and top end is fine for me too,i'm not sure if i like the slightly higher revving when i'm just cruising in top though.

your bike came stock with 16-43 gearing, so if u go -1 up front u will be turnin 1000 more rpm than u are now at hwy speed, but u will gain more torque and not loose alot of top end
