anyone know if 04 zx10r wheels will fit 2000 zx12r? rear wheel is 1/2 inch wider than stock, and couple pounds lighter, would like to use

doug, if you google zx12r rear wheel width, results state 5.5 inches wide

doug, you are right, THE OUTSIDE WIDTH IS 6 inches, however, that not how you measure the rim, its bead to bead and has been all through my 40 years as a master tech

however we are arguing semantics, im not looking to change tire size, i am after lighter weight, different aspect ratio is a bonus, have a great day

doug, i went out and read my zx12r rims, they say 17x 6.00, actual width was 6.125, cant say inside with tire mounted, so, lets try another direction, is there a kawasaki rim thats wider? zx14 appears to be 6inches as zx10. i have a 200/50/17 my wish was to flatten contact patch by moving beads apart, my original question that was lost in the discussion was the important part, how wide is the hub on other wheels, will they fit my control arm? anyone that can help id appreciate hearing from you, thanks

im running a shinko, but thanks for trying, ill keep looking for a lower cost way to get what i want, if i had unlimited funds and could buy aftermarket parts and tires i wouldnt have asked for help, hakuna matata

good point yorkie! i can always rely on you for good info!, but just to be devils advocate, there is more than one way to skin a cat! meaning, can the outside diameter of the bearings allow me to use different bearings> they are cheap, ill see if i can find out! thanks again!

zx12 and zx14 have the same wheel bearing, zx10 smaller axle, cant find info on outside diameter of bearings, any one know? ill keep looking

good job! i already looked up the stock bearings, osr zx10r conversion kit, has the bearings in it, sorry if i wasnt clear, shaving 4 pound is the same as i rwhp, also lighter wheels give more usefull torque, depending on brake rotor and sprocket use 3-5 pound weight savings! the kit is a little spendy, but another thing i found is the zx10 wheels use 4 isolators on drive hub and zx12 uses 5, so again, if i had money, just buy kit! ha ha, us poor guys trying to go cheap! thanks much for info! greatly appreciated, i also own a 2001 zrx as well, good to know axle info for thst one too hakuna matata

by the way, i owned a 84 gpz turbo in the 80s, and a 83 gpz non turbo in the ninties, i miss the turboZx12 rear wheel bearings

hey doug its bo, where do you live? im in white bear lk mnI own both…kinda…it’s a ‘83 Zx750A with a ‘84 a Zx750E engine swap. I’ve done all the work minus machining down the Triumph rear axle to fit the Ducati wheel.
