Need HELP! Won’t run

I did some simple maintenance on the bike. Before I started it was running fine, no issues.

1. Oil change – switched to Synthetic
2. Fuel filter replacement- last replacement was last season
3. Other things like front pads and cleaned fork seals (nothing to do with engine)

Take it off the stand and start it up. At first it sounded like a normal warm up but she bogged out and shut off. Started it up again – barely above 1RPM and shut off. Made sure choke was on, added gas - put it on the tender for a while. Tried to start it and wouldn’t turn over at all.

My thoughts are I purchased a bad fuel filter… not sure. Sounds like it’s not getting fuel. I don’t think synthetic oil would have anything to do with it.

Not sure… need help!

I should’ve held on to the old filter but that was not an option, chucked it already.

Any thoughts?

If it runs worse (or not at all) after you laid hands on it, you likely screwed something up. Retrace your steps and check to see if you accidentally disconnected something or?

Spark, fuel and compression, in their proper order and it WILL run.

It may be a pig, but it's a pig with a rocket in it's ass!

Bleed the fuel line by removing it from the filter. You only need to crack it open, you do not need to actually remove it. Once a little fuel comes out, try it again.
I have to do this every time.
