K tank value these days

What is a K tank worth these days? Bare metal, very nice. No dents or funny biz. Obv not original paint but otherwise original.

Time to open that wallet for a new one. I’ve seen them pop up on eBay from $250-$400 with bad paint jobs. I think there is an original painted one on there for a crazy $1600.00

I actually happened to come by a 2nd one with my K bike. It wasn't cheap but I likely don't need it. That is a nuts price for that original one.

Thanks Honda!

Got one in great shape for $50.

I guess people are kind of into these things now?

Guessing that wasn't recent? I certainly cannot buy a gas tank for any motorcycle for $50 much less with shipping these days.

Yeahhh, about 8 years ago or so. Guy was in Montana and if I had my head outta my ass sooner I could have scored the K frame for $100... But hey, I already had one and they were everywhere for cheap, yeah? A tale from yesteryear.

Moral of the story: you're a good, deserving person dammit, and if you see something you doth want- pounce whilst you have the chance! AND then bury it in the back of the garage where she'll never find it until the statute of limitations expires. Everybody's happy.

There was a thread a few weeks back on the value of 7's/classic sportsbikes so I should say that the parts situation is a definite indicator of what's going on (finally) for better or worse with our kind of toys.

Now all the "junk" I've been hoarding isn't anymore.

Trade bait. Some people hate giving up parts unless there getting parts in return.
