Just like the last one that came up recently. Perfect example of friends bidding for friends!

I would not read too much into the price. They are not worth that much yet. Maybe in 10 yrs. I love how the going price for these were selling at around 6k a few months ago, and BOOM all of a sudden during the worst time of the year to sell a bike, the prices double.....? Yea right!

This is not my first rodeo... Some of us can smell it from a mile away..

Maybe. I still think these bikes were long overdue for an upward market correction. Plus, this is not unheard of. Three years ago you could pick up a Ducati Sport Classic 1000 for $6k. Literally months later they were going for twice that much, and they still are.

I guess we'll know for sure when one actually meets reserve and sells.

Except that some of us have an in on what's going on.... It's a small industry with even less collectors like myself. That's why the last one mysteriously disappeared off of Ebay before it ended..?

Ask yourself why pull a bike that is pulling off so many bids just to possibly cut yourself short and end it early?? Hmmmmmm......

I understand. I think it's curious at best, but all of what I said is true. At $6k, these bikes have been significantly undervalued compared to similar bikes of that era. Let's see what happens once we get an actual documented sale.

In any case, mine isn't nearly as nice as this one, but I'm sure glad I picked it up when I did.

Sure.. How about I can't stand scum-bag liars, and cheats. How's that?

I also own one of each of the R models, but I personally do not want the value to artificially go up for one or two people to get screwed in the short and long term, and then it come crashing back down...

Pretty simple ideal.

And POW, it meets reserve, at a the super low price of $15K, over five days before the auction closes. What a crock. We will see if it does not get cancelled before ends .......

The seller has three purchase transactions in the last year. All as a buyer. And someone is going to pay $15K for a bike they have not touched? I have four R models for sale now .......

Yeah I agree nine16 our homologation Kawasaki's have been undervalued compared to their homologation peers for some time. I do hope nobody is being burnt in the process though with these ebay bikes?!

Mike....I got a deal on a couple kit/factory oil filter pickups. My contact wants €120, I got a deal elsewhere for $5 each. I assume you want one?

Maybe. Still doesn't make much sense if it meets reserve. Creates some frenzy, but you've still got to have at least one legitimate buyer willing to pay. Otherwise you're just sticking yourself with auction fees and the bidder with a strike. Where shill bidding really hurts is with "second chance" offers--tbe seller gets to see your absolute maximum.

You are forgetting that you can cancel all bids and end the auction early. No fees, no strikes and the seller can now contact each bidder that was not part of the shill, know what they would have paid.

Yes, but all a buyer has to do to negate all that is bid whatever the max they feel comfortable with in the final seconds. If it meets reserve, you've won, and at seller's lowest price. If not, seller never sees your max unless someone outbids you. Plus, buyer is under no obligation to accept any second chance offer (and price defers to just above the third place buyer, so would require at least two shills.

Now in theory, sales that meet reserve should never be voidable. If no sale, the party to blame gets a strike and pays the full auction fees.

Hello to all.....long time lurker.... First time member.

In regards to this bike, other than the possibility of shilling and high price, is there any irregularities?

I was impressed with the commentary on the last EBay consignment (3000 miles). It looked solid to me until I read the feedback! Lol

Cheers.
