I've been riding for 43 years, and what I've learned from all the reading I've done is that you'll be fine with any name brand FULL SYNTHETIC MOTORCYCLE SPECIFIC oil. I personally use Kawasaki's own full synthetic. If it's good for them, it's good for me, and my dealer gives me a discount.

Another oil thread!

The owners manual says:
Type:API SG, SH, SJ, SL or SM with JASO MA, MA1 or MA2 ratingViscosity:SAE 10W-40

It also shows the usual chart with alternative viscosity ranges
to suit your local climate. 10W-40 is recommended from -10C to +40C.

Your Kawasaki dealer will probably recommend Kawasaki-branded oil
or whatever 10W-40 they have in stock at the time.

I don't see any point in recommending a specific brand. I have never seen
engine damage where lubricant failure was identified as the cause. I have
seen damage from lubrication system failure which is an entirely different matter.

Any of the well known and reputable brands like: Motul, Castrol, Valvoline, Mobil, Shell..........
should do a good job.

If you stick rigidly to the specs in the manual, 10W-40 combined with JASO MA/MA2,
you will probably need to buy a motorcycle-specific oil. Changing at the recommended
12,000km intervals, you may benefit from using synthetic oil. For shorter change intervals,
it will make little or no difference whether you use synthetic or semi-synthetic.

Thanks for your detailed reply. I was cautious since a friend got his engine damaged. will go for Motul V300 10W40.
