Front fender mod???

I am planning to get the ZX-10R front fender I have, painted very soon. Does anyone know where I can get the adapters in order to mount this fender on my 14?

wanna destroy the good looking front end of the 14 ?
Will it even fit, given that the 14 is much wider ?

ZX14 it is (2008 midnight-sapphire-blue)...
list of mods: HIDs, AngelEyes (yet to be installed), SATO full exhaust, pc5, center-stand, dark-smoke double-bubble...

Post the question for brackets on all the ZX-14 forums. There was someone that made brackets to mount the ZX-10 fender on the now defunct zx-14 forum. Maybe he has re-sufaced on one of them.
The zx-10 fender looks factory on the 14 and does help with cooling especially on lowered 14's

I have seen this mod and it really cleans up the front end of the 14.

It may be a pig, but it's a pig with a rocket in it's ass!

You'll get your answer here:

Here's what I did. I WAS going to have the wing pieces chromed. Instead, I removed the black wing pieces and using a Dremel tool, cut off the section that supports the wing piece. I still have to do a little edge cleanup, but I'm going to install chrome plastic door edging on the cut section of the fender. Also, because the fender attachment brackets show a little bit, I sent the brackets to be chromed. I show pics when I get all done.

Here is the final product. I need to install the chromed Z-brackets when they get in, but you get the general idea.

A lot of guys have converted their front fender with the ZX10 fender.. It is shorter and looks rather neat. However there are some problems...
The ZX10 fender will allow more airflow (for better cooling in slower traffic)because it lacks the Zx14's side louvers and allows more air to circulate around it. It can be made to look pretty good... However I wonder what kind of penalty you will pay at high speed..... Kawasaki was at one time a aircraft manufacturer and they did a lot of R&D with air tunnels etc to design the slippery shape of the ZX14... It is a really fast bike and the airflow characteristics can really change at speeds over 165 mph...
Greg Williams (from Hyperbike Perfomance Centers in Maryland) had his Red ZX14 lowered so low to the ground last year that at high speed the airflow had no where to go and flow out around the front wheel (because he only had ablut 1/2 inch of clearance between the top of the front fender and the underside of the front of the bike fairing).. and it literally ripped the lower front cowling apart at about 160mph at the Texas Mile run in October of 2008 ... The factory engineering guys know a thing or two about aerodynamics...! But of course if you are just a cruiser/poser and never go really, really fast it probably won't matter. For those that ride this bike like it was intended I would leave the aerodynamice to the original design.. Just my 2 cents.. .... Speedy

I think, personally of course, I'll remain a 'poser' under 120mph.

Just thinking in terms off lifespan, fatal injuries... the usual high speed stuff.

No Problem Bro...I agree that high speed is stupid on the street.. too many cars with idiots inside, cell phones and unpredictable road conditions. I can go as fast as I like on the track without worrying about slamming into a cager looking down at his cell phone....
The Texas Mile is running again at the end of this month..(About the safest way to go fast without tickets or getting thrown in jail.).Maybe I'll see ya there? I will be running again and I hope we won't have the 24 to 30 mph head winds like last year LOL....By the way regarding your remark,,, if you go down @ 120 ( or even at 80 mph) you will still be in a world of hurt. I was just discussing the difference that changing the front fender can possibly make on aerodynamics at high speed...At lower more sane speeds it doesn't much matter anyway.. and If you are just into chrome and cruising down main street on bike night Go for it.. Different strokes for different folks...I really appreciate a beautiful customized bike but personally I would rather have a bike that ran better and handled better before I just started chroming stuff and slapping on a trick paint job and LCD screens blaa bla blaa...Oh well to each his own. I always get a kick out of it when some 'Busa Dude rolls up with a 300 series tire on the back and wants to run to the next light.. If he has a lot of power he will most likely just spin. If the motor is stock usually they bog off the line and I am gone... Customs are cool but not really practical... Id much rather invest $1300 in an OHlins rear shock and Traxion Dynamics fork set up that a bunch of Chrome and fancy do dads that do nothing for the performance ...I want my biike to run well handle well and then add some bling if necessary....

And I thought it was the whole front fender w/ the lights... not the wheel fender.

ZX14 it is (2008 midnight-sapphire-blue)...
