Hi everybody.

My name is Jerry. I havent had a street bike in a few years. Last one a 95 ZX11D. I loved it. I just bought a 2000 ZX12R off ebay last week w/5600 miles. Im so excited! Ive read all 7 pages of this forum and itll be a pleasure getting to know you guys. I am planning on flying out to Montana and riding it back (1444 miles) unless I can find a quicker way. Best price on shipping is $503 but, itll take 5 weeks to get it. So for now, I am looking at June 13th /14th. Only pics I have are from the ebay listing. I will keep you posted.
Jerry

Thanks for all the welcomes. I am still trying to go get the bike from Montana. It seems whenever our schedules work, the weather is bad. I will post pictures as soon as I get the bike. I tried to add a pic from the ebay ad but the site wouldnt let me.

Welcome Jerry!

Had a thought come to mind. I ship cars all over the country and have never had any car I've shipped take longer than a week or 2 from pick up to delivery to the client. 5 or 6 weeks seems like a LONG time to get it shipped. Who were you using? I might be able to get you a contact that would be able to get it quicker if you didn't want to ride all those miles back on an unfamiliar bike.

Yes Jason, I am interested in shipping. Ive been on the phone most of the morning with shipping companys but none seem to be able say for sure when id get it. I think they let drivers bid on the shipment. But, yes I would appreciate any contacts you may have. (Haul Bikes is the best price. but, 5 weeks they still say).
I also found out this is how we add pics on here....http://s866.photobucket.com/albums/a...dnjones/ZX12R/

Yes, especially with the bad weather that has been out that way for the longest time. It doesnt look bad in red, just more of a hello officer than I wanted. So far, I have a good bid for $500 to deliver to chicago near my work by next sat. I may jump on that deal. And Thanks man! I am excited!

Thanks guys! I found a shipper to pick it up in Montana and bring it to Rockford, IL where I work then rode it back the 500 miles home. Ive already put about 1500 on it! I cant believe the difference in all areas of performance compared to the ZX11D I had. Im going to lose my liscence very soon. Im trying to decide what mounts to buy for GPS, Radar etc.
