Removable Touring Rack

Thought I'd share my newest invention. I've looked for years for a removable luggage rack system of some sort for when I go on my longer trips... I have all the cortech soft bags (Tank, Tail, Sidebags, etc..) though I hate buffing out all the rub marks following a trip. So I went down and bought some round stock and began fabbing. My attempt was to make something that was sleek, functional, looked right on the bike and was strong enough to double as a back rest should the wife tag along. Next step is to make a padded cushion to match the rear seat that'll slide over the vertical bar.

Very similar to the Renntec rack, only with a taller vertical portion. Nice work! I love homebrew!

It may be a pig, but it's a pig with a rocket in it's ass!

Necessity is the mother of all inventions. I love the professional look.
