ZX14 w Full Bore M1

Looking for feedback on the Full Bore M1 tires fitted to an 08 ZX14 . They are damn cheap and I know the old addage, you get what you pay for. First of all I don't ride in rain unless caught in it and if so would possibly find a place to sit it out if so. At 150 shipped I am damn tempted to try them due to cost savings, reviews seem to be decent with some complaints comparing to much higher end tires

Found some Roadsmart II's on clearance (good enough for me) w the rear in a 190/50 vs sticking with the 55 series but heck for $182 shipped I am just gonna go for the savings, It will be a decent comparison once I wear out the PR 3's w the 190/55 on rear since the bike is new to me and I found it freakish at low speed to how it just falls in to the point it was a bit odd first driving the bike. My Blackbird does not give me same feeling with a 180/55 but I do notice I feel like I am sitting much lower on the ZX

Any and all feedback is welcomed and I would buy the 190/50 for savings as I don't think it will be as big of a deal to me sacrificing quicker tip in.
Thanks

Never heard of Full Bore tires. Likely they are recaps as the machinery to make a tire carcass is waaaayyyy expensive and the molds to make recaps are not.

Wow! $154 for a set?
They don't have the higher speed rating

I used the coupon today for a set of Conti Sport Attacks and a RK 530 GXW chain, $266 shipped and another $5 back via ebates, great deal! Tires may not be the latest or greatest price to good to pass up for a set. Was trying to find a Supersprox RST 489 41T rear sprocket but none on fleabay, would make new chain and sprocket cost very cheap and set me up for a while

I have a used Supersprox rear 41 with 50,000 miles on it that looks practically new. sounds like it would be clapped-out, pointy and in need of replacement. I pretty much wasted $90 on a new one, but if I had been able to compare before buying, I would have noticed it was almost like new.

This is the old one one top the new one. $40+shipping if you're interested.

They are excellent, will give thought, who did you find your new one through. I see Solo Moto as one vendor and I had hoped to find one on fleabay to buy with the extra 15% off yesterday but there were none for ZX14

Both of mine came directly from Supersprox.

From what I have been able to discern, Full Bore tires are recaps made in Korea with Japanese moulds. They are made up to a 150-mph continuous speed rating (V?).

Personally, I would not spoon one onto a bike I'm selling, much less riding.

Thanks, yeah best deal I have found is $102 currently shipped, had hoped to save a few bucks and get as priced on ebay for 90 shipped but none available. Now I have found a Supersprox Steel alternative at $44, full steel sprocket being their RFE 489 41T , it will carry a bit more weight and not be as sexy looking but it is a cheaper option. I passed on the Full Bore tires and went another route.
cheers

Mine had a 44 on it when I bought it. PO was set up for riding two-up. Throttle was like a light switch at parking-lot speeds.

I meant $44 cost, in OEM tooth count of 41. I only want OEM gearing

150! That's about 20-30-40 mph of what I hit every couple weeks in the summer. And, recaps! I agree, I couldn't pawn these off to anyone, especially myself on the bikes my wife rides 2-up. I understand everyone has a budget, but these things just might not be the thing to save bucks on. Still, like everyone else Kidd you have a choice, and if you decide to get them I wish you the best of luck.

I dont think you read through most of the following posts , i opted for another option on closeouts, contacted vendor and inquired on mfg date and all is good went with some Conti Attacks for $158 shipped. Sure they are older technology but most people could not out ride what the tire can provide to begin with. price was right and along w a RK 530GXW chain total cost was 260, that's just smoking imho

The owner of full Bore states "We are the first Motorcycle tire company that manufactures and retails our own tires. We are factory direct. No middle men means no mark up. We do not compromise any quality when we make our tires. Same great quality without the huge price tag. No salesman, No distributors, No big retail stores = low prices to our customers."
