Hammerhead | The slip-on itself will not make it run bad, although it might not make it run better. So, tuning etc. necessary? No. Desirable? Maybe. Depends on the thickness of your wallet. |

ECU tuning with slip-on I have an 07 ZX6R that I bought with a Yoshimura carbon slip-on and as far as I know the ECU is factory. How necessary is it to get it tuned? Most of the time it seems like it runs fine but I was thinking about getting it done. PowerCommander is obviously an option and a guy at work has a RapidBike race tuner with auto learning for his Ducati that he likes. Does anyone have a different solution that they like? I figure I could just go with a shelf tune for now but ultimately Id like to get an autolearning kit for it but that would require me to tap for an o2 sensor as my bike doesnt come with one. |
