Absolutely. That is exactly what I had in mind. I'll PM you my info.

Thanks!

Turbo329 The custom metal bracket that I sourced had a cutout that had too large a diameter for the Koso dash. So I made a mold today out of cardboard and Fiberglass filler. The mockup works great. I'll either cover it with some foam adhesive or make another metal plate over the winter. We'll see.

Turbo329 A little more progress....

Tank after first light coat

Tank mounted after 3 coats

Working on the ram air tubes and they should be mounted by the weekend.

I managed to get the bracket mounted as well. So now I will finish up the tach wiring and the fitment of the tach into the bracket.

This was about $150 on Amazon. I just happened to have a gift certificate so I got this for virtually free.

Turbo329 Got a bracket off of a facebook seller and he sent the ZXR Tachometer with it. Experimenting with the Koso Gauge as well. The Koso is about 5mm short of the metal so I will have to make a modification if I wish to use it.

Turbo329 Thanks guys for the feedback.

Zed Cable, yes it's possible that it's feedback. When I get the wires spliced up that will let me know for sure but I'm waiting for the dash bracket to come in the mail.

Regarding colors, I'm thinking of going with this color if I don't go with the flat black.

Now that I've got it wired up and I fired the bike up a few times, I feel like it has a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttle bit of latency. It's not terrible but it's definitely a couple of tenths slower than the stock unit. On the flip side, I feel like it's more sensitive to the throttle. The idle dances around more on this tach than the stock unit. I know my idle is erratic because I'm running such a large cam so it doesn't like to idle when cold especially. It smooths out when warm but still not perfect. The Koso unit dances alot +/- 400rpm.
Any chance itís interference/ripple?

For right now I'm going to powder coat the stock rims red and install Ceramic Bearings. I'm looking to possibly buy an MV Agusta F3-800RC or an MV F4RR over the winter so I'm keeping costs low on this.

I have a custom tach bracket on the way to me from Canada that I'm going to set up for the Koso. That should be here tomorrow.
