So a modded ZX-12R will make the same power as a similarly modded ZX-14R, which has 20% more displacement? I find that very hard to believe.

JohnnyBravo A fully modded zx 14 destroys a Zx12 completely. In every way possible. Stock to stock they're compareable at wide open throttle.

johnboat Alright guys... going to put this debate to bed... my old mechanic explained torque to me back in 1985, while putting a crank in my old GPz 1100... he said, " You know when you wake up early in the morning, after a night of drinking beer at the bar and later having sex with the cute little bartender chick, and you stumble into her bathroom to do that early morning piss, but have that early morning wood... since you just met her you don't want to piss into her shower stall, so you stand in front of the toilet and try your best to push it down towards the toilet opening, only to have your feet slide backwards instead....? Great question. In this case work is in the transfer of energy from one form to another (heat and light). A light bulb is a sink, just like an electric motor. It takes in power for this conversion.

A 75 watt lightbulb does 75 Joules of work per second. A joule is a unit of work and in this case is expressed as a Coulomb times a volt.

This light could also be said to be using 0.1HP.
