Stop looking everyone. I found it.
Luckily I checked a pair of shorts in the bottom draw.
Now off to the bike shop next week to get my other key programmed.

|easyrider4||You may have an immobilizer system on your bike. The USA bikes do not have the immobilizer system so their keys do not have to be programmed. Most other countries do. From what I understand it is a real pain in the ass if you lose your key. I have the factory service manual and it says if you lose the master key, you have to go to the dealer and have a new ECU installed and register a new master key and any spare keys. That is going to be expensive. Thank goodness they don't have the immobilizer system on the USA zx-14.|

Did you buy it brand new? They gave me 2 keys
and a pass code tag which I also wrote down in the manual
If you bought it used look in the manual or look for the little silver tag

2012 ZX14R lost key
Have recently lost my key, look everywhere except where the damn thing is hiding.
I had a spare key cut but not programmed. Kawa dealer is telling me I need a new ECU.
Has anyone had a similar problem with 2012 ZX14R?
