Question Front Fork Seals are leaking?

Hello,

My bike is at the garage for a spring tune up before i take it out.
They called me to tell me that my front fork springs are leaking and should be replaced, or the seals anyways(Not sure it's Chinese to me until i learn more on bikes) I told them to go ahead, (3 hours labor). I"m new to bikes and I was wondering what causes this to happened?

Improper Storage during winter?
To many wheelies landing hard?

Millage: 53 000KM

Age, mileage, long storage periods or hard wheelie landing can all play a part.

Basically the seal that goes in between the inner and outer fork tubes wears out and starts to let fluid seep out. I believe the service manual recommends checking them for leaks on a 7500 mile interval, and replacing if needed. Its pretty easy to notice if they are leaking though. And its actually not that bad to change them yourself, especially if you have the right tools.
