You talking about the tabs that go under the nose fairing? I broke those to lol. I wouldnt recommend block off plates and flash unless you know for sure its that causing the problem. Have you talked to the shop that did the work?

I know this is a stupid question but what is the trick to getting that connector off the air switch? I figured it was just push down and pull but this sucker will not budge. It does look like the hoses going to the reed valves look a bit twisted. They are old and brittle at the very least. Once I get it out I'll replace.

They are stubborn. You may need a set of vise grips or need nose pliers to get a good grip. Are the hoses in the correct spot on that idle speed actuator? I mixed them up the first time I put it back together.

Well guys. I dunno what I did right or wrong, or what's going on with the bike, but it's running sweet again. All I did was massage the air switching valve a little and make sure everything was connected securely. I put the idle actuator back on and fired it up. Idled high to warm up but dropped right into range within a few minutes. Took it off the stands and ran it around the block for twenty minutes until it was fully warmed up. No drops in power, no problems at idle. So... I dunno. I think I'm going to finish winterizing it and leave it alone until spring. If there is a problem after that I may fork out the money for someone else to handle it. Also, I guess I can live with the small oil leak from the head (sigh).

In the spring when I go to put the fairings back on will I need to get a new nose fairing (since I broke those clips) or will the other mid fairing bolts be enough to keep it from rattling?

Good to hear. Any issues with the fan coming on randomly or is that gone as well? As for the nose fairing, don't worry about it. Like I said, I broke both of mine and the fairings were still secured enough to not cause issues. I did multiple top speed runs and never had issues with them.

Hi guys. Sorry if this has been asked and answered on this forum. I did a search but I couldn't find exactly what I needed. What size are those stupid push-pin type rivets? I need to order a pack to reassemble everything. Thanks!
