Need advice on a DIY paint job

Never worked with plastics before just cars and farm equipment.
Any advice on painting the plastics ?
Should I treat them as I would bumper covers on a car ?
Fiberglass or bondo ?

Thanks as always.

As far as repairs go, Yes same as a car bumper. I'd use something like plastifix if it's a cracked fairing.

My bike fell over last week so I'm now looking into fixing and painting my black 09 zx6r. I plan to use Plasti Dip and take it from the glossy look to more of a matte flat black.

Yep, I would say so. My girl is a certified auto body and paint tech. We did her fairings not too long ago. Wash, wetsand, wash and degrease, primer, paint, and clear unless you're doing matte. I normally do 2 coats primer, like 3 or 4 of paint, and 2 of gloss with the appropriate time in between coats. Good luck.

Wow, thread revival. I don't check post dates. I'm live dangerously like that. Lol.

My bad though.
