January Ride of the Month Winner!!

Congratulations to our January Ride of the Month Winner:
Fame28 and his 1989 ZX7R!!

I'm proud to show you the history of my bike (since I've owned it). I have only had this bike for a little under four years and the plastics have been repainted twice and the frame once. It's a 1989 ZX7 H1 I had to tear the motor apart to replace the idler gear (engages the starter). That was a huge project and while the engine was off I Heat pressure water blasted the frame and painted it black with about three coats of clear on top. I restored the bike when I first purchased it because the whole left side was ruined. After it was restored to factory the first time I crashed it a year later doing a Wheelie. I bought it for 1,500 and now have over 6,000 dollars into this bike. Need less to say I'm still not done with her. Your thoughts positive or negative are greatly appreciated. Every bit of work on this bike has done by myself, and family so I'm super proud of this tank.

List of replacements and aftermarket items

Aluminum brake and clutch reservoir caps
custom windscreen
Rear seat solo cowl
Aluminum gold bolts all the around (they were so expensive and the color faded)
Clear turnsignals (front and rear)
Clear RC51 tailight (looks so good and so easy to do I think)
Powdercoated air intake tubes
Fender Eliminator modification (to remove ugly license plate holder)
Painted Rims and Pinstriped Green(Rich metallic Caramel rim with lime green stripe)
Painted Frame to black with 3 gloss clear coat layers(more of a modern and clean look)
Aftermarket Sprockets (Stock gearing retained)
D.I.D. Chain
K&N Air Filter
Muzzy full exhaust (the worst because for oil changes I have to take the entire bike apart including removing the header and radiator everytime just to remove the drain plug)
Ohlin aftermarket shock (the bike is a bit lower and still handles well)
Stage 3 DynoJet jet kit
All seals in the engine replaced from top to bottom
Kawasaki OEM bearings all replaced except in swing arm and upper triple tree
Not that it counts as modified but all of the plastics have been replaced at least once including the tank (sure you think its easy cause they have your parts in stock... lol)

Can you use this update list please... I went through my receipts and found the names of the aftermarket parts I bought, plus I was hoping that my girl would have been on the main page with my bike as the finished product. I'm proud of both of them. If you could please shifty1. Btw you can delete this post if you decide to change it.

Fixed it for ya. Sorry about the pic...she just looked too sweet and I didn't want to piss her off/get you in trouble. Let me know if she wants it taken down.

No she really likes being on the main page. She enjoys the compliments the guys have to say. (Feel free to say she is hot fella's, I don't mind) I hate to be a pain shifty, but she likes the picture I put in this thread the most and she wanted that one as the main page picture. I wanna say thank you to everyone who voted for me.

Edit to add pictures...

Extremely expensive chain I got a great deal on (sorry I can't remember the company name at the minute)
K&N Air Filter
Muzzy full exhaust (the worst because for oil changes I have to take the entire bike apart including removing the header and radiator everytime)
Aftermarket Shock (the bike is a bit lower and still handles well)

When I got it originally.

The first restoration

When I wrecked the bike

The second plastics repaint after I wrecked it

Me and my girl on the ZX7

Taking it apart to do motorwork and paint the frame

Both of my bikes - KZ450 fully customized with mix matched parts to give it a unique look (blue) - sold the 450 to my roomate recently

Frame repainted and engine back together (it started on the first try surprisingly)

My girl sitting on my bike for a picture (It was 98 degrees out that day, but I always ride with my jacket)

Back angle shot (that same day)

Finally! Last, but not least a picture of it currently. (painted rims/rotors, led lighting, custom hand painted sacred heart on windscreen, and expensive new chain and aftermarket sprockets) The rims are a rich metallic caramel with a green pinstriping.
