motor identification anyone????

I found a zx9r motor to swap into my 95 zx7. Only, I don't know what year bike it came out of. Anyone out there know how to identify what year the motor was made?? If it's the right year, i'm halfway there. The guy has a buyer for my zx7 motor as well!!!

no way to tell exactly, but either 1998-99 or 2000

The motor is a 1999... had to call the dealer for that one. I installed it into a 2000 frame but i dont think i getting any spark. The 2000 motor dosent have the cam sensor but the 1999 does. Can i just leave it unplugged or do i need to do anything else?????????????
