curious, has anyone put a pair of 97' forks on a 98' 9R? i know a guy locally that is interested in buying my (inverted, fully adjustable, very sexy) forks, but we haven't sat down and tried yet. wanted to know if anyone has tried this mod and how it went, how easily, and how much work/money was involved?
please help so i don't have to look up the head unit sizes and do a bunch of work myself... i'm lazy and american...
I Have put 97 zx7r forks on my 98 zx9r and was just a bolt up job, we had to change the triple clamps and brake discs as well cause the zx9r has 300mm discs and the zx7r had 320mm
just an update. i believe it will work on a 97 to 98, but the 97 front end won't just "bolt up" to the last 2 gen 9's seeing as the 2000'+ 9r's use ball bearing, in addition to other geometry changes...
